Nestled in a tiny village, Church Knowle is home to the popular Food Fayre held every summer to celebrate local artisan food and drink. Bringing together food producers, chefs and entrepreneurs from across Dorset for a celebration of local food, the Fayre attracts crowds from far and wide to enjoy a day in the sunshine with a yummy selection of fresh produce, cookery demonstrations and stalls.
Stepping away from the savoury demonstrations, our Chef Director Luke gave a live cookery demonstration of how to make French Macarons. An ever popular but difficult recipe to master, macarons take time, patience, skill and technique to get right.
Despite the windy day, the crowd were intrigued by the demonstration, asking lots of questions throughout, in the hope they’ll be able to master them at home. We had some great feedback on Facebook:
