Nestled in the heart of rural Dorset, yet only minutes away from miles of beautiful coastline, White Pepper is based in a location referred to as ‘Gorgeous’ by TimeOut London. Why not make a weekend of it and book a night or two at one of our local recommended hotels or B&Bs?
The cookery school is easy to find, whether you are arriving by car, train or bus. We are just 10 minutes from Poole train station, which has a direct line to London Waterloo. Great if you live in the city and want to escape for the weekend.
Dorset at its best
Surrounded by lush green countryside, and a short drive to Poole, home to the largest natural harbour in Europe, White Pepper is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Dorset at its best. At Sandbanks in Poole, there is also a small chain ferry taking you directly to Studland. This is also a lovely route to Swanage, a small Purbeck seaside town with plenty of walks, cafes and restaurants. Here you will find iconic houses, sandy beaches with modern beach huts, and a train to the nearby attraction, Corfe Castle (the ruins of an ancient fortification, located on top on beautiful green hills, with tea rooms and activities for children).
25 minutes away from Bournemouth, with miles of Europe’s cleanest and prettiest beaches, theatres, shops and places to stay. Bournemouth beaches are ideal for swimming, as well as surfing on occasion! Bournemouth also has an airport – ideal for those coming from farther afield to enjoy a weekend away.
Set in such a beautiful area, why not have a weekend away, taking part in a cookery course; then using the rest of the weekend to explore the breath-taking landscape and history around the area.
