Here we learn practical cutting techniques with a variety of kitchen knives, including how to sharpen!

Join us to improve your knife skills!

Skills Covered:

  • Cutting skills
  • Filleting fish
  • Sharpening & maintenance
  • Safety

Typical recipes covered:

  • Salsa Verde
  • Chop, dice, brunoise, julienne, slice, paysanne
  • Mandolin cutting
  • Filleting flat fish

Our hands-on cookery courses generally include a cookery demonstration, a recipe pack, refreshments and/or a light meal. There are often goodies to be taken home too. We welcome those of all abilities.

We work towards an 85% practical input on behalf of the student, making ‘learning through doing’ very effective.
