White Pepper is an award winning school located in the picturesque and rural setting of Bere Farm, East Dorset – just a stones throw away from Poole Harbour, Sandbanks and The Jurassic Coast.

The School

White Pepper offers more than 30 cookery courses for enthusiastic cooks (beginner to advanced), bespoke cookery, corporate cookery packages and a Kids Cookery School.

The school is spacious and boasts excellent facilities to include Rangemaster Toledo XT ovens. Its demonstration theatre can accommodate up to 40 students.

Driven by a passion for quality food and first class teaching the courses teach the how and why in a relaxed and engaging way.

There is a very strong affiliation with local producers, schools, youth groups and charities.

The cookery school hosted the semi finals of Dorset’s ‘Yes Chef’ competition 2013.

The White Pepper Team are C.R.B approved.

The school achieved an ‘excellent rating’ with the environmental health office in 2012.

A chef and a teacher for more than 14 years – working in London and throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean and also for The Rouxs, Tom Conran and Ivana Trump. Working previously as a senior chef tutor for Tante Marie Culinary Academy – part owned by Gordon Ramsay.

Level 5 Stage 3 FE Teacher Qualification.
Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 (BVMBusAwards).
Member of The Institute for Learning.
Judge of ‘Yes Chef’ semis & finals 2013.

The founder of Forage London, helping to unearth the amazing wild foods that grow all around us.

Dividing his time between London and Dorset John’s courses discuss numerous topics including, nutrition, medicine, herbalism, botany, cookery, horticulture and history.

A hugely popular tutor and Dorset cake maker who draws inspiration from the world of fashion and current trends.

Dianne has a real passion for creating and designing cakes that are funky and reflect our time and generation.

Charlotte Pike, Gluten Free Expert

A cookery book author, food writer and blogger, cookery teacher and demonstrator on ‘Free From Foods’. Charlotte will take the mystery out of cooking gluten free and share foolproof recipes for the foods you miss the most.

Teruko Chagrin, Chef Tutor

Teruko is a Japanese chef who has been living in Dorset for over 20 years, seeking out the best local ingredients in order to create contemporary Anglo-Japanese recipes. Her passion is to introduce the cultural aspects of this cuisine as well as sharing its exotic flavours and visual beauty.

Claire Alexander-Brown, Guest Chef

The Deputy Director of Studies at Tante Marie Culinary Academy with 15 years experience as a teacher. The academy, now part owned by Gordon Ramsay, is one of the UK’s largest and highly regarded cookery schools with an international reputation.
